This historic event will be open to the public and coincides with the Rubin Museum's art exhibit about Tibetan medicine: "Bodies in Balance."
The conference will couple theory and practice. It will focus on Tibetan Medicine at its best with rigorous investigation of how TM is used to care for cancer, arthritis, heart disease, stroke, and mental illness—those conditions so prevalent and confounding for the American public and the doctors who serve them. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche will deliver the keynote address and ATMA's presentation of the standardization of practice and education of Tibetan medicine will be a highlight of the event.
