So we decided to have a ball guard low enough that we don't have ANY worries about penalties. That means the guard needs to move up and down to go over bumps. We had 2 different designs: the first was very smooth and would never get caught. The second might have some friction issues but is really strong, so a ball could get kicked at it REALLY hard...
