I came up with an idea how to make more interesting splashes with FLIP and decided to try it out quickly. This is the result of that. It consists of a slightly modified Gas Stick On Collision DOP, and a tiny amount of surface tension - then just dropping a bunch of particles on the ground.
At the same time a made a small comp exercise where I rendered each component per light from Mantra, and put them together in Nuke. I thought it would be harder to get back to beauty than it was, it was really straightforward and now I know! Lots of shuffles though since I rendered into a single exr. Lots of shuffles.
