A short film made with girls from the Can Chu Phin Ethnic Boarding High and Middle School in Ha Giang, Vietnam near Meo Vac. It was made as a bonus for a bit of fun whilst shooting a longer documentary for Plan International. It was shot at the end of filming the girls participating in their Girl's Club activities where they discuss things such as their rights, education, early marriage and protection. The issues they discussed are represented on the blackboard along with their names. We actually filmed 19 girls doing this parade but in the end chose 9 to represent the group. This was the first and only take and the girls appeared in the order they chose. The idea and the style of filming was completely unplanned.
This Plan International project aims to promote the comprehensive development of ethnic minority girls in Yen Minh and Meo Vac, Ha Giang, Vietnam.
