Various type of magic dust generated with Fume FX for the Thief 4 video game trailer.
The FX recipe for the church had to be reusable for multiple shots, visible from different angles and with various speed. The room was symmetrical and had to be covered with crawling smoke. To avoid having too many simulation caches to load upon render I decided to use multiple simple cache with a mirror copy of the sim box for the other side of the room. To create some variance I did a retime of the same caches.
The Ghost blast was achieved with various tube emitter animated on path to create a general volume and direction.
