Countless sexual assault victims have been blamed for their own assault by the media and the larger public, who invalidate their experiences by saying that the victims were "asking for it"—their clothes were too provocative, their dance moves too sexy, or their state too inebriated. Let's spread awareness that this is NOT a valid argument, and the victim of sexual assault is NEVER to blame. Stanford University wants to stop blaming victims of sexual assault.
