I went to the final of Silva League with my FS700 and decided to shot some slowmotion footage for grade practice in Davinci Resolve. I ended up with some good looking footage and decided to make a movie out of it :)
Shot on: Sony FS700 with Odyssey 7Q everything in 2k DCI at 200FPS
Lenses: Canon L 24-70mm f2.8, Canon L 135mm f2.0, Canon 200mm f2.8. Metabones speedbooster was used on every lens.
Graded primarily in Davinci Resolve with some touches in FCPX and compressed through Compressor.
I did a base grade in Resolve with the Cube.LUTs and just tried to find a nice look. My nodes was set up as following: 1. Basegrade with LUT 2. Exposure 3. Colour 4. Look 5. Tweak
I didn't really use the fifth node so much but in some cases i added Power windows there. I applied a 4.0 % noise reduction to everything and then exported as ProRes 4444 to FCPX.
In FCPX I did all the editing and didn't have log any footage because I already did that in resolve at the start of the process. I added a bit of a gamma tweak and some grain from CrumplePop called: 35mm_8573-500T to give it a more realistic film look.
