First real day out shooting with the Anamorphot. Learned a number of things (and left some mistakes in intentionally).
I brought 3 Olympus primes: 17mm f/1.8, 25mm f/1.8, and 45mm f/1.8. The 17mm pushes the width of the adapter and shows some distortion on the edges, but ended up being the primary lens used. The 25mm worked beautifully. The 45mm was a complete failure, and I couldn't bring myself to include a single shot from it. I'll do more testing to see if I can make it work, but after trying all sorts of things I think these lenses don't get along. Hopefully my 42.5mm f/1.2 will play nice when my step-down ring arrives.
Notably, AF worked reasonably well through the 17mm and 25mm. I didn't really expect that, and it made jumping into this anamorphic test a lot simpler. My "don't trust AF" instincts proved correct though - it works, but this anamorphic business confuses it at times.
Shot in Cine4K cropped to fit 2.35:1 (17:9 x1.33 stretches to 2.52:1), CineD picture profile (-5, 0, 0, -5, 0), with a super basic FilmConvert grade (still getting comfortable with this plugin, and my laptop hates it with 4K).
All of these settings are still being tinkered with.
