Due to the increase in optical elements early anamorphic lenses have always had issues with their close focus abilities.

In this test we look at their minimum focus distances, their performance, and how using diopters can help.

The diopters are screw on round diopters that require a small adapter to be clamped on to the front of the lens. The clamp and diopters are only available on the 50 and 80 as the front element is too large on the 35mm.

The diopters actually appear to have increased sharpness without adding any increase in artifacts or lens anomalies.
