HATCh by hemsworth worked with the team at ARIA with celebrity chef, Matt Moran to create Sydney's ultimate NYE event in one of the best locations in the world. The event sold out all 1,500 tickets prior to the event date for the first time in its current format.


The Sydney Opera House, celebrated 40 years in 2013, played host to the best New Year’s party with a specially designed menu by Matt Moran and a powerhouse line-up of music acts including Sneaky Sound System, all-girl DJ duo The Faders and DJ RobKAY.

Attracting a crowd of seasoned Sydneysiders, interstate and overseas guests, NYE Party at The

House, was held waterside on the western boardwalk of the upper concourse of the iconic Sydney Opera House, the epicentre of Sydney New Year’s Eve action.

Partygoers had front row seats to the best fireworks display and the city’s most extravagant light show, this year designed by artist and musician, Reg Mombassa. The music include non-stop hits from 14-time ARIA-nominated Sneaky Sound System, The Faders (aka Milly Gattegno and Suhana Lye) and DJ RobKAY.

The resort-lounge atmosphere catered to those who wanted to sit back with a drink and take in the harbour-side action with lounge areas and plunge pools as well as ample space to let ones hair down and dance the night away.

Matt Moran’s award winning ARIA-inspired canapés included hand-rolled sushi cones, baked king prawns, wagyu burgers and a take on ARIA’s classic duck and pea pies. Plenty of Robert Oatley wines, premium Crown beer, delicious signature cocktails and Piper Heidsieck Brut NV Champagne ensuring that guests partied in style through the New Year’s celebration.

Headlining act, Sneaky Sound System, is made up of the dynamic duo of Miss Connie Mitchell and Angus McDonald. They are a multi-award winning dance music combo having collaborated with Kanye West and Jay Z and known internationally touring the world’s best clubs and festivals.

Sneaky will be supported by DJ duo The Faders, known for their passion for ‘90s hip-hop and the early noughties RnB. The Faders have supported international acts N*E*R*D, Mickey Avalon and as Jay-Z’s official DJ.

RobKAY opened and closed the event to huge applause taking everyone on a thrilling ride to break in 2014.
