Driving from Marina Hemingway to Morro Castle (Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos).
The first stop was down the Malecon on Desampardos. It's a huge place with a CADECA with lots of cheap, kitsch, souvenirs and a typical tourist trap. It's a place for a quick in-and-out at best.
Morro Castle was built in 1589 when Cuba was Spanish territory. This is a must see if you visit Havana. It's very well taken care of and never too crowded. The views of Havana Bay and the Old Havana are spectacular.
On the way to the Castle you can really get a feel for Havana, it's history, culture and style. It's easy to hire drivers to take you around. It's a blast to drive around in a classic car and see the sites. Drivers in Havana are helpful and good company. Enjoy!
