Here is a VFX breakdown for the work we did for JC Le Roux's "Open Le Good Life" commercial.
Due to limitations in studio space and budget for the shoot, but the necessity to create a large glamorous celebration, it was decided to break the continuous take into three parts.
The camera move, cork path, actors positioning and amount of furniture and people was planned in the weeks leading up to the shoot.
The three takes of the stage, furniture and background crowd were stitched together in 3d space in Nuke and a new, smoother camera path was then created.
The hero actors were all created digitally to allow the flexibility of the camera move and arrangement in the scene. They were photographed on a secondary greenscreen set on the primary shoot day.
All the props that the hero's interact with were created digitally as well as several girls' dresses to enhance the frozen time moment.
The digital doubles were created using Photoscan, Softimage, Zbrush and Houdini and final compositing was done using Nuke and Flame.
