This is the 3rd roadshow by the CNA in Contra Costa County. At this meetings CNA reps urged the community to lobby their elected representatives to save Doctor's Medical Center (DMC) in San Pablo which will purportedly close on July 25 - at least that's what Dist. 1 Supervisor John Gioia states - due to the failed Measure C parcel tax a mail ballot voted on May 6, 2014
A member of the public had to tell the CNA reps how to best employ the public to rally public support.
CNA reps claimed their powerful union was told that lobbying the powerful CA representatives e.g. Feinstein, Boxer, Miller (now DeSaulnier) et al was not an option - they never revealed why this was the case...
In spite of their appearance in force at the Tuesday June 3 Contra Costa County Board of Supervisor's Meeting - to show support for a $45,000 opinion poll to gauge the public's support for a county wide sales tax - this fact was never mentioned at this meeting and CNA reps completely downplayed their earlier support for such a sales tax
