Igor Jrienko is a Cat on the roof, a volunteer who risked his life cleaning the wastes after a nuclear explosion. Two years after the disaster and after his family was evacuated from the area, Igor begins to understand there will be no future for him. Knowing the end
is near, he decides to go back home to remember the happy days and to write a last letter to his wife.
“The Cats on the roof” is freely inspired by Chernobyl’s catastrophe, by the volunteers who gave their life to fight radiation. They had a past, they had memory and some even had a family, but none of them had any future. They were Cats on the roof.
