A little interactive prototype for an interactive communications system about Single Malt Whiskys.
The task was to create a unique interactive experience solely using typography, without any other user interface elements. I chose to do a map of Scotland as this seemed challenging to do with a typography map.
There are several elements to consider… Even though this was done in Keynote this system is in fact fully interactive using a clever array of slides and linking. You can always click in the black background to move up one level in hierarchy and the system resets after a few minutes inactive. Once you are in a certain region you aren't lost in this zoomed in level but on the edges of the screen you can still see the geographically approximately corresponding other regions of Whisky distilleries, so you can directly jump between them. Also, when choosing a specific distillery, the map view doesn't work, which requires a rearrangement as a list. Notice the items rearrange themselves using magic-move to give you a sense of place in the system.
