Everybody rides for their own reasons, but the WNBR started as a protest against society's dependence on oil. For some the nakedness is a statement about the vulnerability of cyclists on the road, for others it's just part of the party. City cycling is often difficult and scary, so it's important to celebrate cycling and Portland's strong cycling community.
WNBR is part of Pedalpalooza, Portland, Oregon's annual bike festival. For a calendar of this year's 282 rides and events visit: shift2bikes.org/cal/viewpp2014.php.
