THE LAST STEPS OF CHILDHOOD
Made by LONELY BOY as a so called "Passion project".
I wanted to create something that really used the beautiful light that arrives in Sweden during our early summer. I didn't direct Anna to much, I just told her to look natural and wander in a way that she felt comfortable with. When I got home and looked at the footage I realized that her body language was a bit melancholy.
This was shot in Luleå were we both grew up and just a few days later Anna moved away from here hometown and thats why the piece is called "The last steps of childhood". I think the whole feel of Anna during the film might come from here desire to finally fly the nest. I think that blowing soap bubbles over here hometown in the midnight sun was a good way to end this chapter of her life.
Enough deep thoughts and over analyzing....
