As the Gospel writers inked the words of Jesus onto their scrolls, they recorded two permanent means of grace that followers of Jesus would practice for all time- Baptism and Holy Communion.
Grace is God’s favor and mercy toward us whether we deserve it or not.
Means of grace are ways we receive God’s grace.
They are gifts from God, and God meets us in them. Means of grace are conduits of God’s goodness, reminders that God is on our side and invites to share life with Him. They are outward signs of an inward grace, signs that God is working in our lives.
Two permanent means of grace have been inked into the Scriptures. Join us as we explore the means of grace, Baptism and Holy Communion, June 29 and July 6, 2014.
