In Exodus 32, the people of Israel realize that Moses still hadn't come down from Mt. Sinai. They act out of fear and insecurity by demanding new gods. Aaron, the leader that Moses had put in charge during his absence, resorts to pleasing the crowd and giving into their desires. It's a chaotic, pagan scene where the Israelites start worshipping to a golden calf that they built together. God sees this and becomes FURIOUS.
Pastor Kenny Lee preaches on this crucial section of Exodus where the Israelites clearly sin against their God by worshipping other gods, breaking the very first commandment that He had given in the first place. We're just like the Israelites - insecure, fearful, impatient, rebellious. Our sin angers God. Yet just like how Moses prays on behalf of his people, we have a mediator named Jesus Christ who came on our behalf and literally forgave our sins by dying on the cross for us.
