This was an project assignment from my Art in Context/Strategies class at PNCA where we had to display a collection of some sort and discuss the significance of it in terms of nostalgia, fear or death and change, and culture.

So here are album covers from the CD collection my family and I compiled over the years. Both of my parents were born in Mexico (my father was also raised there until he migrated to the US in his mid twenties). My brother and I basically had our childhood during the time where boybands, trance, and bubblegum pop music were of the norm on top 40 music radio stations. As we entered middle school we discovered alternative music and the rest was history (especially with me and my anime/manga hobby).

This piece is looped twice to Wolfmother's "Dimension". I used DragonFrame to shoot this.
