This movie was made from a Power Point presentation that I gave at the international community of Auroville, India in early 2006. I have made some minor updates to the slides but the audio narration, except for some slight editing, remains as it was recorded during the original presentation.
This presentation is comprehensive in scope, describing the dysfunctions inherent in the interest-based debt-money system, the common problems faced by community economies, and the exchange alternatives that can free communities from dependence upon bank borrowing and political money, including credit clearing exchanges and private and community currencies.
It gives examples of such alternatives that have already been implemented, and explains how they work, the common pitfalls that cause some to fail, and what must be done to assure their success.
The Question and Answer session that followed this presentation can be heard at beyondmoney.files.wordpress.com/2014/06/tg-auro-2006-imp-qa.mp3
