Original members Keish de Silva, Peter “Blackie” Black, and Ray Ahn, together with current member Murray Ruse, will for the first and last time in their careers, tour Australia-wide with songs from the band’s pre-initial breakup period (1984-1993).
Saturday, 21st July 1984 was the first time that a multiracial group of bare-chested teenage misfits climbed onto a pub stage with their own special brand of power pop punk. Hard-Ons officially turn 30 this year on 21st July 2014. They are celebrating this landmark by playing 11 shows covering Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and a whole bunch of country towns.
I have seen and photographed the band as a three piece without Keish numerous times. From gigs at the East Brunswick Club, The Tote, Northcote Social Club and as part of the first Dig It Up! - The Hoodoo Gurus Invitational event at The Forum Theatre.
