ADB undertook the first Asian Agricultural Survey in 1967. It coincided with major breakthroughs in the Green Revolution, which led to the development of improved high-yielding varieties of maize, rice, and wheat. This video recounts how, in 1976, ADB launched a second study to assess continuing challenges and explore opportunities.
