This was our first Bikes4Life project in Cambodia and it was a huge success. We partnered with Cambodian Children’s Fund to distribute bikes to well deserving students and the broader community. We would like to thank CCF's founder Scott Neeson and CCF staff for the management and organisation of activities and bike distribution. We also must thank Visa Global Logistics for funding the transportation of the bikes from Australia, and for helping with customs clearance, and on the ground logistics.
Bikes4Life have been able to distribute hundreds of bikes all over the country of and to many different organisations and communities. This particular project has put over 500 bikes on the road in Cambodia, and will help the lives of many people. A bike workshop is also being established in the Steung Meanchey District under the control of CCF, where students and community members will be trained in bike maintenance and mechanics, which will in turn make the project sustainable and will also increase employment opportunities for those in training!
Also a massive thanks to Bikes4Life founder Ebony Butler for making this all possible!
