For years, Rachel has been exploring the world around her through the lens of a camera. Through capturing memories of her growth across 6 U.S. States, making films as a student at Northwestern University, and working with organizations that use film to incite social change, Rachel’s passion for marrying visuals with storytelling has developed sharply. She can’t wait to put this passion into practice with her students in Hyderabad. From the moment she read the description of the TMS fellowship, she knew the opportunity sounded perfect for her. It wasn’t just that it checked off all of her boxes – six months abroad, working with digital media, a nonprofit organization without a savior complex- but also that she knows can be accomplished through the emphasis on the “S” in TMS. She is beyond excited to see the growth her students experience from telling their own stories, and the growth in herself from being a part of the process.
