1972 Junior Year film project at PRATT Institute. I took all my failed film projects and re-cut them with some discarded academy leader from the trash, to make an "art" film. My film instructor at the time, Bob Fiala, stressed to the class not to be afraid of failure… "Sometimes you have to do your worst" were his exact words.
Why "COMMERCIALS" ? In my junior year at PRATT I was still an Advertising major. My instructor for that was the (now) legendary Bob Giraldi. In his class, he told us to forget advertising. Start making films, "that is where the future of communications is". (Bob went on to becoming a very successful film director). I wanted to be like Bob.
