The 3-step analysis shows the ways with which a location is connected to its environment. Every connection is characterized by the number of directional changes or 'choices' it takes to get to the target location and is shown in corresponding colors (red, green, blue).
The method gives insight into the reach and the physical base of a programmatic element or place. It also illustrates the coherence of the urban structure.
