This is the is the first race of the 2-race SFR SCCA June Regional. I qualified in a distant 2nd position (Tied with Roland Kamber at 1:42.037. What are the odds of that?) to Matt Reynolds, who beat me by nearly 4 seconds (ouch). The first 2 laps of the race had good action but I was able to put some decent distance on everyone, except Matt Reynolds, in spite of my brake fluid boiling by the half-way point. With 2 laps to go, my brand-new driver-side rear axle broke at the entrance of turn 5 (lesson: always replace the stock grease). Unfortunately, that's been the routine with this car (shit breaking with 1 or 2 laps to go) as I sort out the new build and learn how to maintain the car.

I'm driving a 1986 Mazda RX7 in SCCA E-Production. Special thanks to Endsight for continued sponsorship in my racing efforts.
