This is for a future project..
Modeled (yep pretty basic)
Textured (ah ah ! but this is a white render! just to check the animation)
Rigged (no IK here, just Bend object)
Animated (keyframed the rotation of the wings, and the strength of the bend..just a little..and created a simple loop.. but later on i`ll break the loop and add more variations to the wings beat)
I used mograph cloner ojbect (1 copy) applied a random effector using the Random Mode: Noise, to have random positions, mostly on Y and some random rotation too over time.. (probably i there are other ways to randomize position and rotation over time..CS Tools..maybe.. dunno.. i just started with Cinema 4D)
Than I applied the "Align to Spline" tag to the object (with tangential option selected) using a simple "S" shape spline as path... nothing too fancy
