Yosemite Creek Walk (2.8 miles) , Saturday, June 28, 2014, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Meet: 11:00 AM at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater, McLaren Park
Walk ends: Approximately 1:00 PM at Double Rock Beach (Arelious Walker Drive and Carroll Ave)
Snacks: 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Double Rock Beach

Chris Sollars leads a walk from source to Bay, along the path of Yosemite Creek, part of San Francisco’s watershed. One of three Creek Walks, participants walk 1 City Block of Rope is carried along and over both the existing and hidden waterways following the path of least existence. Each trek concludes with a meal and gathering on the water.

Watershed 2014 - is a series of performances that lead viewers to water thru the physical properties and crucial dividing ideas and lines flowing within the city of San Francisco that compromise the watershed. Watershed is composed of:
Creek Walks (Lead to Water): 1 City Block Length of Rope carried along and over both the existing and hidden creek paths of San Francisco from Spring to Bay following the path of least resistance. The Watershed Crew wearing orange Life vests will lead the walk and guide participants through the parks into the city and out to the mouth of the creeks at the Bay. Stops along each walk include a variety of locations including: Parks, Farms, Flea Markets, Bakery, Bars, Tech Company, underpasses, bridges, waste treatment plants. Food and Drink will be collected along the path and eaten on the water. All participants should wear shoes for a long walk and clothes that can get wet. Walkers / Participants can join the walk at the start or along the route.

Mission Creek Walk (4 miles) , Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Yosemite Creek Walk (2.8 miles), Saturday, June 28, 2014, 4:00 – 8:30 PM
Water Shed (On the Water): a floating shed on the water where each Creek meets the Bay, that will place viewers directly on the water to reconsider their position to the city and land. A smaller human powered boat will take a rotating group of visitors to and from the Water Shed at the conclusion of each walk. Food and Drink gathered along the creek path will serve as the meal at the end of the walk. The shed will also function as a sleeping quarters and fishing station for the crew.
