This full-length evening of dance includes two works by Constance Cooke and a new work by Kayla Henry.
Cooke will present excerpts from her latest full length work Argon which premeired in Victoria BC in February 2014. Argon is a modern re-creation story of threat, agitation, and new equilibriums. Argon was supported by the Canada Council for The Arts, The British Columbia Arts Council and Dance Victoria. Argon 2 will be performed by recent graduates of The Professional Program of The School of Contemporary Dancers along side apprentices from the programme in their final year of study.
Also on the programme by Cooke is Spill 4, which premeired in Vancouver at DOTE in July 2013. It was inspired by the works of Installation Artist Rebekah Johnson. The work explores tension, risk and fragility.
Spill 4 is performed by dance artist Jung-Ah Chung.
Kayla Henry will present The Dead Amuse, a new work she created and performed in Bounce Performance Works
in Victoria ealier this season.
