The Water Thief is an interdisciplinary performance project conceived by Dora-nominated theatre designer Sean Frey and multimedia artist Amy Siegel, in which we are expanding the possibilities of film, live performance, music and projection art. The Water Thief involves an experimental silent film that is made complete with elements of live performance, set to a live score.
The Water Thief will be performed in Sackville NB from July 31-Aug 2 2015 as part of the OKQuoi Contemporary Arts Festival and SappyFest.
The Water Thief was first performed as part of the SummerWorks Performance Festival in Toronto, ON where it received the prestigious Contra Guys Award for Outstanding New Performance Text.

In 2012, The Twelfth House was established as a merger between two Toronto-based theatre artists, Sean Frey and Amy Siegel, with the mandate of investigating how theatre, projection art, experimental film and audience-immersive performance could work together in the creation of work that is provocative, magical and visually interesting. The Twelfth House strives to challenge conventional methods of storytelling while exploring themes of transformation, loss, and transcendence.
