Computational Video Performance made for Primarchitettura installation ( by Walter De Silva, Head of Design of AUDI / Volkswagen Group, with Operai Del Design, for "Feeding new ideas for the city" by Interni Magazine. )
The computational projection explores the topic of "The Work of Art in the Age of Mechanical Reproduction" as in Walter Benjamin's essay, featuring a fluid, organic and ever-changing animation created over a rigid grid of squares that can only be scaled down and rotated.
I wanted to demonstrate that you can use statements to create something unpredictable, so that reproducibility can be non-reproducibility and art itself.
Audio track of this documentation video is a cover of Julien Clerc's "La Californie" by Bois Noirs (boisnoirs.com)
