A number of companies are developing new stationary grid storage systems based on redox flow battery technology. The technology was pioneered by NASA in the 1980s and has recently begun to see global demand increase as solutions are needed to integrate renewables on the modern grid. The opportunity for redox flow batteries and examples of their applications will be presented by Bret Adams, Director of Business Development at EnerVault.
