Yan Bin made his fortune selling luxury to wealthy people, a billionaire who was an accomplished regular on the Forbes China Rich List. Upon a trip to Beijing, a vision came to him of fairytale castles and fast paced rides… Wonderland. He selected a prime location, en route to the Great Wall. But as construction began, so did the problems. Deals with officials began to fall through, problems with landowners meant agreements couldn’t be reached. Yan Bin surveyed his creation and washed his hands of it, focusing on different ventures which varied from producing Red Bull for the Chinese market to creating Beijing’s Pinewood Valley Golf Course. But every time he visited Beijing he saw his fairytale castle, as if teasing him from the distance. 10 years later, he tried to continue to build it again, but farmers had reclaimed the land and built their crops, the problems ensued. Yan Bin never had so many problems making money. Losing all patience with it, he razed it to the ground and committed the incident to a mere dalliance with the Devil otherwise known as the “Disney Dream”.
