This two-minute video is a time lapse of about 1,200 still images taken over a week's time by a motion-triggered remote trail camera set up near a rock ptarmigan nest. The hen incubates a nestful of eggs under a bush, the eggs hatch and the chicks mill about - with a surprise snowfall happening on June 18. The hen is wearing a radio tracking device. Shot between June 11-18 in Interior Alaska near the East Denali Hwy, part of a research project by ADF&G's Rick Merizon.
