‘The Drips of Aherlow’ ( pronounced A-her-low) is a short experimental movie in which the interaction of the individual with groups is explored through observation of drops of water. It was filmed while I was camping in of Aherlow in the Galltee Mountains, Tipperary, Ireland in the very very wet ‘Summer’ of 2012.
Unable to leave the tent during the day I watched and listened to the raindrops, They brought a strange mesmeric effect to my stay there. Gradually I began to feel a drama unfolding before my eyes. I have tried to capture this drama here in this experimental movie.
