Remember the "revolving door", a hoopdance move we used to do back in the day with our bigass sparkly dance hoops? Get it out of your hoop trick closet, dust it off, and try these flowy new variations. I particularly like the version with a half turn.
In the video, I use a large hoop for ease during the lesson, but a smaller hoop during my flow session at the end. Using a small hoop may make you think you need to bend your leg. You don't need to bend your leg to accommodate the smaller circle-try this: don't hold the hoop close in towards your body as it revolves, instead swoop your arm out as you revolve the hoop, allowing the long arm to scoop the hoop up that long straight leg. Be really long and spacious with the gesture. There's plenty of room in the hoop.
I hope this helps you. If you have any questions, requests, or observations, contact me through the Hoopy facebook page.
