Harhay Developments in partnership with Carterra Developments is bringing a 17 story building to the southeast corner of Bathurst and Adelaide Street in the King West neighbourhood. The interior design by II by IV and building design by CORE architects means this will be another building with architectural impact in the neighbourhood.
The features and finishes are fairly "standard" in comparing this project to others in the area. 9 foot ceiling heights, pre-engineered wood floors, stone counters and stainless steel appliances are the norm. What is unique about this project are some of the floor plans and the lobby. Following in the footsteps of the Philippe Stark building, and specifically the lobby of that building, One Eleven Bathurst will feature a gemstone wall of blue tiger's eye and massive black marble beams will greet and impress residents and guests. The sixth floor party room and outdoor terrace will be a welcome escape to relax and unwind but this is the extent of the building amenities. Thankfully, the neighbourhood has some excellent gyms and spas for those wanting to get their "sweat" on. Check out Totum Fitness or Goodlife, just around the corner.
Make sure you check out the penthouses with the massive terraces! Definitely some incredible views worth checking out if you're looking for massive outdoor space.
Pricing in the building is competitive relative other neighbourhood developments of comparable style and aesthetic finish. As of June 2014, pricing has been hovering in the range of $620 per square foot with penthouse product trading for the typical premium of 15% at approximately $721 psf.
