Located in Northumberland County, New Brunswick, the Little Southwest Miramichi is one of the most beautiful and rugged rivers this province has to offer. The upper stretch of the river, which you see in this clip, was paddled at 1.44 meters and this would be the lowest I would ever want to see it. It is a good class 3+ section with lots of excitement at Indian Falls, Shark Tooth, and the Seven Sisters. We took out just below what is called Flaherty's Pitch. My battery died about three features above Flaherty's Pitch unfortunately, and I missed some interesting stuff. From Flaherty's Pitch down the river is calmer, offering fantastic salmon fishing and class 2-3 rapids to keep it interesting in tripping canoes. Paddlers were Derek, Paul, and Aaron. Music is Pumpin Blood by NONONO, remixed by the Chainsmokers.
