This documentary shows how health threatening air pollution downwind of the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area has been ignored by San Luis Obispo County. The heroic team at the Air Pollution Control District has tried for years to protect public health, but no action has been taken by the SLO Air Pollution Control Board, the SLO Board of Supervisors, or State Parks.
The APCD's most recent effort, the Phase 2 Study, concludes that ODSVRA activities are the cause of the high concentrations of particulate matter downwind.
The Board to which the District answers is made up of each of the board of supervisors, and one member of each city, for a total of 12.
