In the teaching, Dr. Don G. Pickney brings the excitement of showing from the Book of Acts that God's angels not only know your first and last name, but also the neighbors next to you, and how to find your address or the momentary place where you are residing. It is a fascinating story in the New Testament.
As the teaching progresses, Pastor Don brings to life the following passages:
Act 10:1-6 "There was A CERTAIN MAN in Caesarea called CORNEILIUS, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, (2) A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. (3) He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. (4) And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. (5) And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter: He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
He points out the significance of the fact that the angel gave Cornelius the town (Joppa), Peter's name and "surname," the full name of the person with which he was lodging (Simon the Tanner), and instructions that the house was located on the sea shore there in Joppa. Pastor Don stopped and said, "Turn to somebody and say, 'God's angel know my name, address and directions to my house!"
He illustrates that God's people are set apart from the world and in God's plan, He will make a difference in the believers in Christ and cause the rich sea trade and wealth of nations to be converted to them.
This teaching proves to not only be compelling, but also one of the more delightfully anointed teachings.
