Filmed in the remote North West of Iceland at a disused old herring factory from the 1950's called 'Djupavik' this is a fashion film for the HIGH Autumn Winter 2014 collection. The location was epic in every sense of the word surrounded by glacial mountain ranges it was an inspirational place to spend a few days. Iceland is the very essence of a raw new volcanic land and this was shot amongst what was once modern machinery that is now decaying into history. The film attempts to reflect the essence of experiencing this remote, decaying, raw, natural beauty combined with natures reclamation and continual creation. It was as far from civilisation as you can get in Iceland and possibly in the world and yet it is, the fresh and it is, the new. Djupavik is creation and rebirth and has a genuine sense of being at the start of the world rather than at the edge.
