Time lapse of a crow colony leaving their roost on two islands in Lough Gowna, Co. Longford. No idea how many crows but it was in the several thousands at least. Shot between about 6:10 am and 6:50 am at 53.8387 N 7.5800 W. Dawn was 7:20 am. I had come across these crows gathering in a field on the lake shore two nights previously. As soon as I appeared with the camera they all scattered. The next evening I had the camera in place half an hour before sunset overlooking the field. I shot a 40 minute time lapse... while the crows all gathered one field to the left. But at least I have 700 high resolution pictures of an empty field now.
