The race, a 24 hour, seat of the pants experience that happens once a year in Goldendale, Washington. This filmumentary focuses on the Bots Racing Team and an ironman rider, Trev Pelzer, and their journey to the almost 25 hours of Starvation Ridge in 2009.
I'm a one-man show here with this. It's taken me a better part of a year to get this far. Life just gets in the way sometimes and I've only recently been able to focus more on completion. I shall take advantage of every moment afforded to me to complete this from here on out.
I'm breaking this up into multiple parts because of size limitations (bandwidth) and my clunky computer is just not able to crank out the render at more than 19 minutes worth of footage. I'm working on completing the next installment and would like to have the entire thing completed before the next race on October 30th.
Pinning The Ridge was shot with a single Canon HV30 and was sometimes mounted to a tripod. Much of the footage was hand-held. Helmet cam footage was taken with GoPro Hero and Contour HD. A Rode Videomic was used some of the time to capture some of the sound and I used a wide angle lens for tighter areas.
I will have a full list of credits available after the final installment.
Enjoy and stay tuned for the next installment... Your feedback is greatly appreciated!
