The Brooklyn Zoo is an interactive art installation that transforms a gated storefront window in Brooklyn into a cage inhabited by a giant cartoon creature who lives in the dark and who follows people as they pass by.
This piece was part of Windows Brooklyn, an organization that teams artists with shop owners to create public art. It took place in the summer of 2009 in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
Ever think that two giant, brightly lit eyes starting out of a dark storefront window at night would go completely unnoticed by passerbys? This clip shows just how unnoticed it can go.
