If you want to find a man, just go to any restaurant on Wednesday night. All the divorced, single dads are there with their kids for dinner - it's Wednesday night!
After a split between couples, there is often a standard arrangement for child-care. The kids live with one parent and visit the other every other weekend, and Wednesday nights. It's the night where parents must face their ex-partner and their failed marriage. When they learn to negotiate their responsibility as patents in the midst of pain, anger and sadness. After this process, each goes their separate way.
For one parent, it's "date night," a night out with the girls or a night to relax. For the other half, the patent with the kids, it is time to face the effects that the divorce has had on their children, often demonstrated in bad behavior.
Wednesday Nights gives us a glimpse of how people are creating this new model of family and how they are dealing with their lifelong plans gone awry. It shows is the view from both sides, and those in the middle - the children. Once you have a look, you will never think of Wednesday nights the same way again.
