Join us Sunday, September 29, 2013 from 1- 6pm at Mana Contemporary for the opening of Carole Feuerman's solo exhibition of outdoor works, courtesy of Jim Kempner Fine Art and curated by Dru Arstark.
This solo exhibition premieres Mana Contemporary's outdoor sculpture garden and features two unique site-specific installations. Olympus, a portrait of USA gold medalist Lauren Perdue, showcases a hyperreal sculpture of the swimmer installed in a custom-designed lap pool in the garden. Geyser/Birth, a collaborative installation inside the arts center with Italian artist Michelangiolo Bastiani, couples his geyser video with Feuerman's sculpture of a female erupting from the projected imagery.
Among the other works on display are: "The Golden Mean", "Survival of Serena", "Monumental Shower", "Quan", "The Message", and a never before exhibited hyper-realistically painted bronze "Monumental City Slicker".
