Equity in the Nano City: Science Cafe November 2012

From the water pump to the steam engine and from water skins to microfiltration units, technology has been used to solve problems. The technological revolution transformed our understanding of water. Water started as a common good, accessible to all people. As cities grew, water became both a public good, controlled by the city, and a private good, bought and sold in the free market. How can inequities in the market be addressed in the Nano city?
