All children are amazing and mysterious. Children with sensory integration problems, some on the Autism Spectrum, exhibit behaviors that are a bit more than mysterious, they are baffling and disturbing and hard to explain to our families, neighbors and community.
In this video, Margarita Gendelman, an Occupational Therapist, clearly explains how our sensory systems connect us to our emotions, social interaction, physical needs, and language. With video to illustrate, Margarita walks us through each of the 'hidden systems' that regulate us...or fail to regulate our children. More importantly, Margarita also shows us , specifically, what we can do to help.
